MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS
The middle school girls lacrosse program is the precursor to the high school competitive level. As a relatively new girls sport to the bluegrass area, emphasis focuses upon teaching the sport with development of skills and stickwork as key. If deemed appropriate, a series of 5-8 games per season incorporate the important role of team dynamics and competition. There is currently one established team in the Lexington area. Sponsored by LYLA, the Lexington Swarm is a city-wide team with membership from area public, private, and home schools. LYLA also sponsors a Fall League for girls. For more information on middle school girls lacrosse, please visit the team web site below or contact the appropriate coach. The Lexington Swarm offer Fall Skills Sessions in addition to the Spring season practices and games.
